In her heart she knew that she would love him no matter what face he had. It was just that she had just found him, this him, and she wasn’t prepared to say goodbye to that face just yet. 

She’ll never forget how she felt the first time he regenerated. Not one of the other companions has had to live through a regeneration yet. Jack knows what happens but…he’s not had to live through it. She remembers how emotionally draining it was for her as well as physically draining for him.

And then, amazingly, he hasn’t changed. He has the same face. She doesn’t know how he’s done it at this point but she doesn’t care. He’s there and she’s there and the world may be under attack by Daleks but that’s not what matters in this moment. What matters right now is that Rose and the Doctor are back together in the TARDIS. The way it should be.

If only she could freeze this moment in his arms, she would.

Love love love love LOVE this episode so terribly much. There’s only one relationship that I love on this show more than that of the Doctor and Rose it is that of the Doctor and his TARDIS.
